What is the basic pay difference between a clothes model and an individual who does adult entertainment? Modeling ia pretty straight forward and getting people to perform on cue is not always easy. In the Adult Entertainment industry - you are likely to have a fair amount of exposure and know the content and what the expectations are
What is the minimum age to work in this industry?
The minimum age is eighteen (18). However you must be 21 in some states and the regulatory agency responsible requires there is a designated Custody of Record to maintain files on each actor/actress including their Government issued ID.
Is the adult entertainment industry a money maker?
Absolutely! During the Covid pandemic, this industry doubled it's revenue in the first nine (9) months. Today the industry is stable and grows at a rate of 4% a year or $834B (USD).
How quickly are actors/actresses paid?
Depending on the label you are working for this is information may differ slightly but you will find that the majority of your money will be paid on the last day of filming. Most 24 minutes segments can be done in a single day or over 4-5 days but ever studio allows for advances to cover expenses, etc.
Is your studio independent?
Yes. We do have agreements with several West Coast studios who you will find will pay the $750-$1,000 fee for our services.
What advice would you give someone starting out?
You will make a lot of money but it's what you do with it that will determine how many years you will work or can retire. Most people are in and out in 10 years or less. Don't limit yourself, you'll get this opportunity once.
Do I need an agent?
Need? No. But you may want one so that you can better understand the terminology in the contract. We are licensed agents, yes - but getting an agent or maintaining your professional relationship with one is entirely up to you.
How quickly can I get started?
Currently, we have 2 studios seeking talent presently. And it has been my experience that we there are 2 competing studios - a lot of money is always tossed into the mix which then complicated things. But it is what it is.
